What is the Porch?
>>
- a place where the people love God so much that they cannot help but desire to passionately
worship Him from the deep parts of the heart.
- a place where the desire is to experience the power of Jesus, then seeks to share
that power with those who do not know Him yet.
- a place where a passion for Christ would become what drives this generation to their knees
in prayer realizing that we cannot possibly live on our own strength but God must
live at our core.
- a people that see themselves as the church and do not think they "go to church."
- a place where people love one another in such a way that they experience true
supernatural community that is not based on any programs but by actually experiencing
community life together.
- a place where the people are never satisfied to have the "pastors" be the ones
they become dependant on for learning, but are passionate about digging deep
into the Bible and learning the ways of Jesus.
- a generation that seeks to use film, theatrics, art, media and creativity
as a means to communicate the truths of Christ.
- that Merced County will be a place where thousands and thousands of people will
reconsider how they feel about "Christianity" by meeting people in this place and
are surprised by their love and passion.
- a place where people do not just fill in positions that church leaders have in order
to get things done, but to discover what unique gifts God has given them and to be
able to see these visions fulfilled in how they serve God.
- a place where parents will be taught how to teach the ways of Jesus to their
children and that we will see families worshipping together.
- a place that is so fresh, relevant and progressive that people return and
begin to trust God and the claims of Jesus Christ.
