July 27 — Lei Jun announced on Weibo today that Xiaomi Auto will host the Pengcheng Series Technology Launch Event at 19:00 on July 30. This marks the second technology conference held by Xiaomi Auto, where two extended-range SUVs, the Pengcheng N90 and N70, will make their official debut.
Lei Jun stated that the event will focus on the Xiaomi Pengcheng Series and its supporting technologies, showcasing extended-range SUVs featuring spacious interiors and flexible cabin layouts. With the launch of the Pengcheng lineup, Xiaomi Auto will expand its product portfolio from pure electric vehicles into the extended-range electric vehicle segment.
According to disclosed details, the official English name for the Pengcheng Series is SkyNomad, engineered for family commuting, long-distance travel, outdoor camping and other scenarios. The Pengcheng N70 is positioned as a large five-seat extended-range SUV, while the Pengcheng N90 adopts a three-row seven-seat configuration. The N90 range will also include the N90 Max and a dedicated camping variant.
Released product information reveals that the Pengcheng N90 highlights adaptable cabin space and a large-capacity power battery. Xiaomi Auto has previously previewed its third-row seating area, rotating front seats and a 76 kWh battery pack, underscoring the vehicle’s space efficiency for multi-passenger rides and long-distance journeys.
The Pengcheng N70 has completed filing with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Filing documents show the model measures 4,960 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width and 1,785 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm and a certified passenger capacity of five. It targets the mainstream large five-seat family SUV market.
The higher-spec Pengcheng N90 and N90 Max feature a three-row seating layout. The camping edition will be equipped with an electro-hydraulic pop-up roof tent to expand usable space for outdoor and camping activities.
