Harmony Intelligent Mobility delivered a total of 240,000 vehicles in the first half of this year, representing an 18.6% year-on-year increase. To achieve further growth, the premium hardcore SUV STELATO G9 joins the lineup. Larger than the Yangwang U8, the new model offers 5-seater and 6-seater layouts. It comes standard with an 800V high-voltage platform and supports both extended-range and battery-electric powertrains. In addition, it is equipped with an 896-line LiDAR, Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system, air suspension, rear-wheel steering, differential locks and crawl off-road mode. Pre-orders will open on August 5. Recently, spy photos of the STELATO G9 undergoing road tests have been captured by netizens.

Judging from the real-car spy shots, the STELATO G9 features a square and full closed front fascia. Rectangular headlight assemblies are fitted on both sides, incorporating HarmonyOS Star Ring headlights and DLP projection lights with dazzling starry-sky lighting effects. A wide chrome trim strip runs across the upper front, paired with an illuminated central logo, delivering both luxury and a strong sense of power. The lower front bumper adopts a large silver skid plate, reminiscent of the Land Rover Defender to highlight its off-road styling. An 896-line LiDAR is mounted on the roof. Supported by Huawei Qiankun ADS 5, the vehicle features indicator lights for the intelligent driving system.

Its dimensions measure 5377(5206) mm / 2050 mm / 1897 mm in length, width and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 3160 mm, making it larger than the Yangwang U8. The massive, boxy silhouette evokes the styling of the Land Rover Defender. An L-shaped “Sky Mirror” chrome trim and the “STELATO” letter badge are positioned between the C and D pillars. Together with semi-flush pop-out door handles, 22-inch turbine-style wheels, power doors and power side steps, the model boasts enhanced premium appeal.

It retains a side-hinged tailgate with an externally mounted storage box to reinforce its hardcore off-road identity. A wide chrome strip stretches across the tailgate, while vertical round twin taillights and a robust rear skid plate echo the design language of the front fascia. Standard equipment includes roof rails and tow hooks. Customers can opt for a full set of outdoor accessories such as a rooftop tent and outdoor kitchen kit.

Inside the cabin sits an enveloping integrated triple-screen setup coupled with an AR-HUD head-up display, creating a cutting-edge tech atmosphere. The vehicle runs the latest Harmony Space cockpit system equipped with Star Ring acoustic diffusers. Other visible equipment includes a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, electronic column shifter, abundant physical buttons and knobs, and dual 50W wireless phone charging. Buyers can choose between a spacious 5-seater layout and a 2+2+2 six-seater configuration. Expected premium amenities include second-row zero-gravity massage seats, rear ceiling-mounted entertainment screens, LC adjustable-tint privacy glass and an in-cabin air oxygen system.

In terms of powertrain, all STELATO G9 variants adopt an 800V high-voltage platform and dual-motor four-wheel drive. The front and rear motors deliver peak outputs of 160 kW and 277 kW respectively, generating a combined system output of 437 kW (594 hp). The fully electric version carries a 120 kWh battery pack with a CLTC range exceeding 700 km. The extended-range variant uses a 75.4 kWh battery, supporting over 400 km of pure electric range and a total combined range of more than 1,300 km.

Built on a unibody chassis, the SUV utilises double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension. It is fitted with air suspension, rear-wheel steering and differential locks. Drivers can activate crawl mode with one tap for obstacle traversal. The vehicle achieves a 23° approach angle, 26° departure angle and maximum wading depth of 900 mm. Further official details about the new model are yet to be released.
