Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max Opens Pre-Orders at 299,900 Yuan-China Automobile Exports to Ghana and Nigeria

Xiaomi has officially opened pre-orders for its new flagship extended-range SUV, the Pengcheng N90 Max, with an official pre-sale price of 299,900 yuan. Positioned as a large seven-seat flagship extended-range SUV, the vehicle's core product advantage lies in its variable rear-space architecture.

## Exterior Design

The Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max adopts an all-new exterior design language. The front headlight cluster retains the family's cross-shaped signature, equipped with dragonfly-wing-style daytime running lights. The high beam reaches an illumination distance of 605 meters, while the low beam delivers 180° ultra-wide-angle coverage. The headlights are seamlessly integrated with the front grille to form a through-type panel, which embeds the "SkyNomad" English lettering. The front fascia offers four personalized trim panel options: silver brushed, gunmetal gray brushed, gold brushed, and hollowed-out smoked black finishes.

The front bumper features a large trapezoidal air intake and cooling structure, with triangular ventilation openings on both sides. Along the side profile, the vehicle employs a short-front-overhang, long-rear-overhang configuration with a forward-shifted A-pillar, compressing the front functional area to expand the front-row cabin space. The extended rear overhang enhances both trunk capacity and third-row seating room.

## Dimensions and Doors

The new SUV measures 5,285 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,825 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,080 mm, positioning it firmly in the large SUV segment. It is equipped with new national standard semi-hidden mechanical door handles. The rear doors open to a maximum angle of nearly 90°, and the power doors support multiple opening and closing control methods including voiceprint recognition and physical buttons. Three 21-inch wheel styles are available.

At the rear, the vehicle follows the Pengcheng family design language with a three-dimensional star-ring taillight cluster and a hidden exhaust layout. A Studio Edition factory roof-tent version will be launched later, catering to outdoor camping scenarios.

## Interior and Technology

The cabin features a 1,530 mm-wide dashboard. The screen setup comprises an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 20-inch head-up display, and a 16.1-inch central control screen. The cockpit runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS system powered by a Qualcomm 8650 cockpit chip, with a built-in Super Xiao Ai voice assistant supporting in-car dynamic sound-zone voice interaction and exterior voice interaction.

The vehicle adopts a dual-spoke multifunction steering wheel and column-mounted gear shifter. The traditional fixed central console has been eliminated from the front row, creating interconnected legroom between the driver and passenger sides. The center console features a cabinet-style structure with hidden storage drawers and a walnut wood surface finish.

The traditional armrest box has been upgraded to a rail-mounted movable independent central island, equipped with four cup holders and two phone slots — one of which features a 50W wireless charging pad. It also includes a 6.6L storage compartment and multiple ecosystem expansion interfaces compatible with accessories such as aroma diffusers and Bluetooth speakers. The central island houses a 9L drawer-type compressor refrigerator that can slide forward and backward along the rails.

## Seating and Space Flexibility

The Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max adopts a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout. Supported by a fully flat floor and ultra-long rail structure, the front seats can rotate 180° to face the second-row seats, creating a face-to-face seating mode. In this configuration, the central island can be moved to the area between the first and second rows, delivering a maximum in-cabin legroom of 1.76 meters.

The vehicle is equipped with four zero-gravity seats. The first and second-row seats support massage, ventilation, and heating functions, while the third-row seats come with heating. The cabin features 256-color diffuse ambient lighting. A detachable multifunction table can be installed on the floor rails or in the central island cup holders, available in single-cup and dual-cup versions with height adjustment and easy assembly and storage.

The rear cabin is equipped with a 6.88-inch detachable control screen and a 21.45-inch rear entertainment display. The air conditioning system features 17 air vents covering all three rows and the headliner area, with a full-function heat pump and fresh air control system as standard.

## Cargo Capacity

In standard configuration, the trunk offers 577 liters of capacity, accommodating seven 20-inch suitcases. With the third-row seats slid forward and folded, trunk capacity increases to 1,351 liters. When both the second and third-row seats are slid forward and folded, the rear cabin is fully expanded to a maximum volume of 1,831 liters.

## Electrical Architecture and Audio

The vehicle features a four-in-one domain control module, equipped with efuse and Flyback power supply systems. Flyback technology can independently power the sentry mode and onboard refrigerator after the vehicle is powered down. The cabin is fitted with 16 Type-C ports, and the trunk includes a 220V external power outlet. The Xiaomi Star String audio system features 25 speakers with a 7.1.4 acoustic architecture.

## Intelligent Driving

The intelligent driving hardware suite includes a roof-mounted LiDAR, a rear-facing solid-state LiDAR, a 4D millimeter-wave radar, 11 HD cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars, all powered by a 700 TOPS NVIDIA Thor chip. The Xiaomi HAD XLA cognitive large model comes as standard across the lineup, supporting highway navigation-assisted driving, urban navigation-assisted driving, and valet parking assist.

## Body Safety

The ultra-long seat rails are made of 7-series reinforced aluminum alloy, with a maximum locking strength of 54,000 N and a maximum peel strength of 57,000 N, completing 15,000 cycle tests without loosening. The vehicle features 39 anti-pinch structures throughout the cabin, triple-redundant door handle design, and dual emergency release handles for the tailgate. The body incorporates a 2,200 MPa embedded roll cage, with 2,200 MPa ultra-high-strength steel applied at 16 body locations, and 12 airbags as standard.

## Powertrain and Range

The Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max is powered by a 1.5T range extender paired with a dual-motor extended-range system. The 1.5T range extender, jointly customized by Xiaomi Auto and Dongan Power, delivers a maximum power of 112 kW. The front and rear dual motors produce maximum power of 210 kW and 100 kW respectively. Equipped with a 76 kWh battery pack, the vehicle achieves a CLTC pure-electric range of 464 km, with fast charging adding 285 km of range in 15 minutes. The 60L fuel tank is compatible with 92, 95, and 98 octane gasoline, delivering a maximum CLTC combined range of 1,705 km and a WLTC fuel consumption of 6.26 L/100 km in range-extender mode.

## Chassis

The chassis features front double-wishbone and rear H-arm multi-link independent suspension, paired with a 5-level adjustable air suspension and continuously variable damping shock absorbers. The vehicle's minimum turning radius is 5.95 meters.

## Competitors

The Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max faces competition from models including the Leapmotor D19, XPeng GX, and BYD Da Tang. Unlike its competitors, the Pengcheng N90 Max takes a distinctly different design approach, placing greater emphasis on practical lifestyle experiences. The product breaks away from conventional in-cabin spatial layouts, offering a more distinctive and character-driven offering.

## Review

Built on the Kunlun architecture, the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max departs from the conventional configuration approach of traditional extended-range SUVs. Through its fully flat floor, full-domain ultra-long rails, and variable cabin structure, it redefines the logic of in-cabin space utilization to accommodate multi-scenario travel needs. The vehicle transcends the traditional role of a mere commuter vehicle, centering its core advantage on flexible space transformation to cover diverse scenarios including daily commuting, group travel, and outdoor exploration — establishing a clearly differentiated product identity.
